Tough times…Teachers Education Association demonstrates support for SJMC nurses

COVID-19 continues to affect our workplace conditions. As a union, we continue to demand safe staffing, adequate protective equipment, and fairness when our employer cuts our hours. Please continue to fill out ADOs when things aren't right at work and also contact our Officers and our WSNA Nurse Rep with your concerns and ideas. Our Officers and staff meet regularly to discuss the issues we nurses bring up, so stay involved. Together we can make things better for everyone.

We hope you and your loved ones are well. We know it's not easy right now. We have restaurant gift cards of $25 each available for nurses experiencing hardship during COVID-19 crisis. Contact Membership Officer, Rachael De Souza, RN at desouza.rachael@gmail.com to request cards. No questions asked. First come, first served, available until Friday June 12 or while supplies last. Cards generously donated by Tacoma Educators Association, to show support for nurses at this tough time.

Thanks to all who continue to speak up, file ADOs, and wear our Union Strong Nurse T-shirts. Together we can't be ignored.
