Protecting Our Patients and Our Community

MultiCare has announced it will no longer provide gender-affirming medical care to new patients. We strongly oppose this harmful decision. As nurses, we understand the lasting moral injuries that come from being denied the ability to provide safe, necessary care. Blocking access to care for trans youth is another deep betrayal of the trust our patients and community place in us.

WSNA is proud to stand with our community in protest. Join us at 1600 on Friday, September 12, at Wright Park to rally against MultiCare’s decision.

This is an individual protest, not a work stoppage or picket. Nurses who are scheduled to work must be at work. However, you have the first amendment right to join the rally on your day off, or during your meal and rest breaks, to stand up for your patients and your values.

Last Call: Complete the Pre-Negotiation Survey

Your bargaining team meets this Tuesday for the first time to prepare for contract negotiations. At that meeting we will begin reviewing the results of the pre-negotiation survey. Those results will set the foundation for our priorities at the bargaining table.

If you haven’t filled out the survey yet, now is the time. Your input is critical; management needs to hear the united voice of nurses when we fight for the contract we deserve. Please take a few minutes today to complete the survey using the link below.

Together, in solidarity, we protect our patients, our community, and each other.
