Tacoma General Per Diems Overwhelmingly Win Union Election!

TG per diems

Congratulations to the 100+ per diem nurses of Tacoma General for overwhelmingly deciding to join WSNA on February 23, 2026. With a 97% YES vote, we are thrilled to welcome them into our union!

Your officers attended the vote as observers and are excited to continue growing our union as we work to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to bring them under the protection of the contract so they have access to the same wage scale, benefits, and workplace protections as the rest of TG RNs.

Per Diems provide a crucial role in ensuring staffing needs are met and help retain skilled nurses at our hospital. This effort to join our union took years of hard work and determination, and we are thrilled that it has paid off! If you see a per diem nurse, make sure to welcome them to WSNA. Stay tuned for ways to support per diems as we negotiate the MOU to bring them under our new TG contract!

Our union is now over 100 nurses stronger. This success is only the beginning - we eagerly anticipate future organizing victories for MultiCare nurses! If you know a nurse who's not in our TG union, or doesn't have a union where they work, reach out to organize@wsna.org to get in touch with us.
