UWMC Summer Update

Welcome NW Clinic RNs and Clinical Coordinators!   They have become WSNA members at the request of their registered nurses!

The almost combined 63 RNs working in this area voted by a vast majority to have WSNA become their exclusive bargaining representative.

These RNs submitted a card check that was certified as a valid vote and all parties agreed to bring these folks on board through Voluntary Recognition.

We will be forming a bargaining team in the upcoming weeks and will start the process of adding these RNs to the existing Contract. If you know or see your brother or sisters from Northwest Hospital, tell them congratulations! We are proud to have them on board.

How about that 2% Raise on your paycheck starting July 1?

That’s right, you will notice a 2% raise in your base pay starting July 1. This was negotiated by your team of registered nurses as a result of diligence in bargaining. The employer was completely satisfied offering a 1% raise for each of years 2019 and 2020. Your team of WSNA RNs stood united and were able to move the employer to 2% after countless hours of negotiations.

Be sure to review your paychecks for this next pay period to ensure that this raise is reflected as of July 1.

United we bargain, divided we beg!

Good job UWMC RNs, you deserve this!

Free UPASS available now!

Another benefit that your WSNA Bargaining Team held strongly to achieve was a free UPASS for all UWMC WSNA registered nurses. This UPASS is available starting July 1 and can be attained by going to UWMC HR for the appropriate forms or you can find activation information at the following link:

The Value of ADO’s/Staffing Complaint forms just went up!

Since the new staffing laws recently got passed and hospitals are working to get into compliance, WSNA is doing our part to ensure your complaints are heard and remedied.

Filling out WSNA ADO forms every time you have staffing issues that include short staff, inability to receive your break or lunch, not enough support staff, mandatory overtime etc,

You cannot be retaliated or against for filing these reports and it keeps a record of events that helps protect your license!
.
Fill them out online and submit on line, every time!
