Island Health Nurses Call to Arms
Posted Jun 2, 2025
We have strength in numbers. Together we will make the changes we want to make our hospital better.
As nurses we are uniquely positioned to engage with and influence our community to achieve the common goal of better health for all. Nursing advocacy is an essential part of healthcare at Island Health. By joining WSNA we can significantly improve the current punitive working environment, bring more collective bargaining power to the table and ensure job security for all nurses. It is crucial for nurses to unite by becoming WSNA members to ensure our voice is heard when shaping new policies and practices that affect our profession and patients.
WSNA offers us a strong platform and empowers us to be agents of change within the walls of Island Health, our profession and the communities we serve. As the professional landscape of Island Health continues to evolve, we need to remain vigilant and proactive in advocating for our best professional interests and those of our patients.
Your WSNA Officers are urging you to BE BOLD and join the union! By doing so, you are contributing to the development of a more equitable, stronger, fairer and patient-centered workplace for all!
Please look for WSNA blue at all future events!
