Local Unit Officer Nominations Are Now Open!

Local Unit Officer Nominations Are Now Open!

Every three years, we elect the nurse leaders who will guide our union through the life of the contract. These officers play a vital role in shaping the direction of WSNA at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. From overseeing local unit funds and selecting the next bargaining team, to meeting monthly with management at Conference Committee, these roles are essential to keeping our union strong, organized, and ready to act.

Were you inspired by our recent contract fight? Want to step up and make an even bigger impact? Running for office is your chance to help lead the change you want to see.

We encourage every nurse in good standing to consider running—or nominating a colleague who would make a great union leader. If you have questions about what serving on the board involves, contact Jared at JRichardson@WSNA.org or reach out to a current board member.

Officer positions up for election:

  • Co-Chair (2 positions)
  • Co-Secretary (2 positions)
  • Treasurer
  • Grievance Officer (3 positions)
  • Membership Officer (2 positions)
  • Communications Officer (2 positions)
  • Occupational Health and Safety Officer

You can self-nominate or nominate a fellow nurse. All nominees must be WSNA members in good standing and must consent to serve. Learn more about the roles and rules for our unit by using this link.

Nominations are open from May 30 through June 16.
