Your WSNA bargaining team is proud to announce we’ve reached a tentative agreement with Gray’s Harbor Community Hospital, which is filled with significant wins for YOU!
Here’s a brief overview of the contract, which we strongly recommend to our members to vote YES to in the upcoming ratification vote:
Wages and Economic Wins
- 9.5% wage increase for steps Base-28 Year 1
- 8% Wage increase for Steps 29-31 Year 1
- 3.75% Wage Increase November 1, 2025
- 3.25% Wage Increase November 1, 2026
- Weekend Premium increased to $3.50/hour
- Evening Premium increased to $3.00/hour
- At the time of Ratification, Ghost Steps for years 11 and 15 will be filled in.
- November 1, 2025, Ghost Steps 13 & 17 will be filled in.
- November 1, 2026, Ghost Step 19 will be filled in.
- Service Increment hour requirements for part time and per diem nurses for an annual increase will be 1248 hours from 1664 hours.
Meal and Rest Breaks
- MOU
- 12-hour nurses may request to work a thirteen-hour shift and receive two thirty-minute unpaid meal periods. Otherwise, the basic work day for eight, ten, and twelve-hour nurses will include one thirty-minute unpaid meal period.
- Optional use of PTO when RN’s are out of sick time.
Sick Leave
- Optional use of PTO when RNs are out of sick time.
Vacation
- Improved guidelines to allow more nurses to take a vacation at the same time.
Retirement
- The employer will provide notification to all employees when the annual retirement contribution is made.
Insurance
- The hospital has agreed to the creation of Benefits Committee that will convene no later before November 1, 2026 to go over benefit options.
This is a strong contract with improvements made in areas you made clear were most important. Your support and involvement in this process helped tremendously. To all of you who attended meetings and came to negotiations, YOU made a huge difference.
We will soon have more details and a timeline for upcoming meetings and the ratification vote.
