Bargainer Spotlight

As we approach our first session, let’s shine the spotlight one more time on another stellar member of our bargaining team. You’ve already met seven of our core bargaining team members – last but not least, meet Sara McNeill from CCU! In her own words:

Hello all!  I am Sara McNeill and I've been at VM 17 years.  I started as a nurse tech and then transitioned to nursing in 2010.  Initially I worked med/surg, I then joined the float pool and was able to cross train to telemetry and progressive care.  I am now in the CCU for my latest adventure.  So yeah, I've been here a while and seen a few things.

I am a proud mom to three amazing adult children.  I live with the two cutest kitties in existence.  As I am a Seattle native I obviously enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling.

I wanted to join the bargaining team because the changes I've seen since VM joined CommonSpirit have been really distressing and the changes to the way we do our jobs and care for patients have been saddening.  I look forward to fighting for an equitable contract for VM nurses this year!
