WSNA has become aware that the hospital has added a number of new positions and posted those positions in many units, hopefully all. Many of these positions are not posted on the website for nurses to apply for through that process.  

If you want to apply for one of these positions, please email your manager, Josiah Wedgewood, and feel free to copy your nurse rep.  The positions have to be posted for 7 days.  Be mindful of that timeline for getting your interest submitted.  We believe the postings went up in most if not all units this past Friday and again, have to be posted for 7 days. 

Per the contract, nurses on the unit where the position is located, have seniority rights over other RN's in the bargaining unit and then, house-wide seniority applies for those not located in the unit where the position is. There are a few rare instances where seniority may be overridden.     

Please contact WSNA ASAP if the list is not posted in your unit or if your manager tells you that you are not eligible to apply for any reason.   Also, please contact WSNA ASAP if you are not awarded a position that you believe you should have had a right to.
