Ready to walk? Sign the pledge!

We head back to the table on Tuesday to keep fighting for your priorities: safe staffing, universal break relief, protection for your full-time benefits, fair per diem standards,  and wages that will make it possible for Virginia Mason to recruit and retain the top-tier nurses they will need to give our community the care we know they deserve. Management has made it clear they won't move on these items unless we make them.

That's where you come in. We need every nurse at Virginia Mason to show their support by signing our picket pledge. Sign the pledge if you can commit to:

  1.  Joining us on the picket line If you aren't scheduled to work;
  2. Stopping by on your break if you are on shift; or
  3. Filing an ADO if you don't get a break long enough to visit the pick up line.

We've always known that this contract negotiation would come down to people vs. profit. Management's power source is their pocketbook, but ours is our people: the nurses in our bargaining unit and our coworkers, friends and family members, and patients. Let's show them what that power looks like when it hits the street.

If you haven't signed a picket pledge yet and want to join us -- or if you have questions, concerns, or need to report bad behavior by management -- reach out to a bargaining team member or our organizer, Maia, at MHepburn@wsna.org. We will get you connected with someone who can talk to you about the pledge, answer your questions, bust any myths management might be spreading, and give you a copy of the pledge to sign. If you've already signed a pledge, check in with nurses on your unit to make sure they have answers to all of their questions.

Want to join us at the table on Tuesday, October 13? Click here forms.cloud.microsoft/r/n0DvP79sNy to RSVP to join us as an observer! We will share details about Tuesday's timing, location, and all the rest as soon as we have them.
