Negotiation update

Recently, neighboring Providence hospitals, represented by WSNA and moving into contract bargaining, have been approached by Providence about rolling the terms and conditions of the contract over (with the exception of wages and benefits) for a period of another three years. Last week the same offer has been extended to the negotiating team at PVNA. Because of this, your team immediately held a conference call to discuss their preference in this decision. It has been decided, this is an opportunity that can’t be missed. Therefore, at this time, your team will head to the negotiating table, bargaining only wages and benefits. All other terms and conditions will remain untouched and the same. This victory ensures no Management takeaways! Congratulations on your first win PVNA nurses!

Next steps, on April 22, a prep session between your negotiating team, and WSNA Attorney, Mike Sanderson will be held. There are no firm bargaining dates yet, but we are working to secure them now.

We will do our best to keep you updated on any developing items. Please continue to watch your mail, or email. If you are not getting communications, or know of someone who needs help, please reach out to your Nurse Rep, Jaclyn Smedley RN, BSN at jsmedley@wsna.org and we will make sure you remain connected.

If you see a team member, congratulate them on a job well done!
