Whidbey wage re-opener negotiations day 1 update

We met for the first session with management. We proposed significant wage increases and filling in ghost steps. We had good discussions at the table with management.

They did not have a counter for us today. The next session is scheduled for April 17. They indicated they would have a counter for us at that time.

Please thank your negotiating team: Ann Bell, Gwen Parrick, Laura Black, and Luka Cobb, for their hard work and dedication advocating for you at the table.

On a sad note:

We were informed that our team member, Dori Painter, sadly passed away last week. Dori has been a strong advocate for the nurses at Whidbey and has served for over 20 years as a local WSNA leader. She will be sorely missed. We are saddened by this news and we are thinking of you in your time of loss.
