Wages bargaining update

Your WSNA bargaining team and the hospital were scheduled to meet today for our second bargaining session. Our first session was on March 28. Management notified us at last moment on Friday that they were not prepared to respond to our initial proposal and cancelled today’s session. WSNA began attempting to schedule dates for a wage reopener in mid-February but have been met with considerable difficulty in scheduling dates with the hospital who to date, have been unwilling to meet for a full day of bargaining and shortened the length of one session after agreeing to meet. This is disappointing and disrespectful of our team’s time and the nurses at Whidbey. The next date we have scheduled is May 10.
