The contract negotiating team for the WSNA Local Unit at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) invited UWMC chief nursing officer Grace Parker to coffee and donuts and one-to-one conversation with some of the UWMC RNs. She declined. So instead, the nurses and their supporters made an impromptu "Show of Force" outside the office where mediation is taking place today. The nurses also collected 168 personal letters to give to Grace Parker saying they support WSNA on the outstanding issues of staffing, better wage increases and union security.
