WSNA member Chris Birchem recognized for excellence at Overlake Hospital

Congratulations to WSNA member Chris Birchem, RN, who was selected as the September Employee of the Month at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA.

Chris has been at Overlake since 2006, and works on East 3.

Chris was nominated for Employee of the Month by a number of his co-workers and peers throughout the hospital. The recurring themes in the nominations were:

  • His unwavering commitment to his patients,
  • His service to promote patient-centered nursing in the community,
  • And his role in taking responsibility for improving patient experience scores on E3 by coming up with innovative strategies and implementing them with his team.
