The Korean Nurses Association is collecting 1 million signatures on a petition aimed at securing a Nobel Peace Prize nomination for two Austrian nurses who worked with leprosy patients for more than 40 years. Marianne Stöger and Margaritha Pissarek, who were nurses and Catholic nuns, worked with leprosy patients on Sorokdo Island, off the Korean mainland. KNA is hoping to honor the nurses' years of caring and devotion by collecting 1 million signatures recommending they be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Sign the petition here.
