Test your HEALWA knowledge

True or false:

As a licensed nurse in Washington State, I have access to an online library that provides clinical education information.

True! HEALWA is the On Call Library for Washington State Practitioners and is accessible to all licensed RNs and LPNs in Washington State. This is a great benefit of practicing in the state of Washington! Eligible practitioners just need to register on the HEALWA website at healwa.org with their license numbers.

When I go to the HEALWA website, I will have to pay to get access to the HEALWA resources.

False! A nominal fee for HEALWA is already included in the license fee each practitioner pays to the Washington State Department of Health to practice in the state. There is no additional costs to you other than the fee built into your state licensure.

If I’m having trouble finding what I’m looking for in HEALWA, I can always ask the librarian.

True! Yes, not only do you have access to the HEALWA online library but you have the support of the HEALWA Librarian, Christina Pryor. She can be reached by phone at 206-221-2452 or by email at cnpryor@uw.edu or at healwa@healwa.org.
