WSNA President Justin Gill is one of 100 individuals selected from around the country included in an exhibit at the new Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream museum in Washington, D.C.

Gill is part of the “Tapestry of Dreams” exhibit located in the Foundations Gallery at the museum.

“It is an honor to be included among many other amazing individual stories,” Gill said.

He said the American dream should be available to all of us.

Under Gill’s name and photo, it says the following:

Justin, the son of immigrants from India, wants to change health policy to better serve patients and professionals. In high school, he was interested in politics but switched to nursing to make a more direct contribution. Justin believes that nurses have much to add to policy discussions.”

According to the museum’s website, the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream is “a cultural institution dedicated to illuminating pathways to opportunity for all.”

The museum is part of the Milken Institute, which describes itself as a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank focused on accelerating measurable progress on the path to a meaningful life.

“This space is dedicated to the idea of the American dream and the sense that this is an ideal worth striving for, worth celebrating,” Emily Metzner, director of content and exhibits at the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream told WTOP News.

“Our sense is that it is the ability to achieve what you want to achieve, to build the life you want to live,” Metzner said.

According to the museum’s website, the ideal at the heart of the American dream speaks to the aspirations of people everywhere.

The museum focuses on four pillars: Health and Medical Research, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Education and the Educator, and Access to Capital and Financial Empowerment.
