WSNA congratulates Tracy Klein, PhD, ARNP, FAAN, on her appointment to the Washington State University Board of Regents. A nurse practitioner and professor at WSU’s Vancouver campus, Klein was appointed by Governor Ferguson as the next faculty regent on the WSU Board of Regents.

Klein, a WSNA member, obtained both her family nurse practitioner post-master's certificate and doctorate in nursing from WSU and chaired the Faculty Senate during the 2024-2025 academic year.

She succeeds Judith McDonald, who made history as the first faculty member to serve on the board following a change in state law.

Klein told WSU’s Insider, “As a nurse practitioner, I understand the need for continuous quality improvement. It should be expected that we’re looking regularly at what we are doing and why.”

Her appointment to the Board of Regents is for a three-year term.
