Stand up for science

WSNA President Justin Gill will be one of the speakers at a Seattle rally March 7 for a nationwide movement called Stand up for Science.

The rally will take place at the Seattle Center from 12 p.m.- 3 p.m. March 7.

Gill will share his perspective on how the disruption to research funding and federal organizations impacts scientists and healthcare workers and patients.

Stand up for Science is an organization started by scientists and supported by people with a shared passion that that science benefits everyone. The group’s goal is to protect the American science enterprise. The core leadership team are five scientists: Colette Delawalla (Emory University), Emma Courtney (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory), JP Flores (UNC Chapel Hill), Sam Goldstein (University of Florida), and Leslie Berntsen (stemEDify).
