Julia Barcott, former WSNA vice president and AFT Women’s Rights Committee member said on International Women’s Day March 8 that the federal action to remove nursing from professional status sets the message that work largely done by women can be downgraded and dismissed. “Women’s labor is undervalued…This action will push that inequality even further.”
