Bargaining update

We met Friday, Dec. 12, for contract bargaining session #6. The Employer began the day by rejecting ALL the proposals we last made on Nov. 5. The employer made a single proposal on wages of 2% each year for the next 3 years. That's still below the cost of living and is simply not enough.

We came back to the table with a revised proposal and suggested that rather than continue traditional negotiations, that we contact a Federal Mediator to help resolve our contract dispute.

We hope to schedule our next session in mid to late January, pending the availability of the mediator.

Actions you can do:

  • Sticker up every day at work. Wear your WSNA stickers, badge reels, badge buddies and buttons. You can find them on your WSNA bulletin board. If you have a WSNA T-shirt, wear it at work.
  • Fill out ADOs (Assignment Despite Objection forms) for unsafe staffing.  https://www.wsna.org/union/ado
  • If you feel intimidated from management about your Union Support, please notify your Nurse Representative immediately. That won't be tolerated.
