Meal and Rest Break Bargaining

Tacoma General, Mary Bridge NICU, and Good Samaritan continue to bargain in good faith with MultiCare, and we remain committed to a productive and respectful negotiation process. While bargaining continues, we have agreed that the current status quo regarding meal and rest breaks will remain fully in place.

As part of this understanding, no WSNA-represented employee will be required to work thirteen-hour (13) shifts to accommodate meal and rest breaks while we work through the negotiating process. This agreement provides stability and clarity for staff as discussions move forward.

We remain optimistic that we can reach an agreement on meal waivers that protects WSNA nurses while maintaining current practices.
