It is time for a vote!

After fourteen months of negotiations and mediation, your Kadlec Negotiating Team has reached a Tentative Agreement that addresses the issues our membership identified as top priorities including preserving existing PTO accrual and PTO caps for current nurses. The Tentative Agreement includes many significant improvements, including wage increases, a ratification bonus, and stronger staffing committee and workplace violence language. Of equal importance, the Tentative Agreement excludes many of Management’s proposed takeaways. If accepted, the new Agreement would run through October 2022.

Highlights include

  • Maintains current total PTO accruals and total PTO caps for ALL current nurses covered by the collective bargaining agreement (including 0.45FTE).
  • Maintains all existing EIB accruals and allows them to be used for all purposes currently allowed, as well as for topping off to 100% of regular wages for short term disability or Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave benefit.
  • Enhanced staffing and workplace violence language to help keep nurses and patients safe.
  • 10% total wage increases over the life of this contract, include A Combined 5.5% Across-the-Board Wage Increase by January 1, 2020, and full-time nurses (including 0.9 FTE) will receive a bonus of $1,500 upon ratification of the contract, with the bonus prorated for part-time nurses.

Please see contract proposal summary for more details.
