Floating MOU (Memorandum of Understanding)

The floating MOU has been fully executed. In this agreement, management has agreed to paying the float premium to everyone who floats. They understand floating has been occurring more recently due to the closure of surgical services. They also understand that many nurses have been working out of their comfort zone. This is a limited MOU.

KVH and WSNA agree to the limited extension of the float premium to all nurses who float to other departments to task or, if trained, to take a patient assignment. The float premium is $3.00/hr. A 4 hour minimum worked is required to receive float premium.

Vaccine Mandate Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

We understand that some non-vaccinated nurses are reluctant to meet with management regarding the hospital’s accommodation process. If you have not scheduled a meeting with HR yet, we urge you to do it no later than Oct. 4. If you do not have that discussion by then, they will consider you as resigned. You must complete the accommodation process. The hospital is working hard to accommodate the non-vaccinated nurses. If you would like someone from WSNA to attend the meeting with management please reach out to Carmen Garrison at cgarrison@wsna.org.

If you have any questions, please contact one of your local unit officers or your WSNA nurse rep, Carmen Garrison at cgarrison@wsna.org.
