PERC has scheduled a hearing for September 16 and 17 from 9 am to 5 pm.

KVH nurses are invited to attend a virtual hearing before the Washington Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) regarding the request by KVH Clinic nurses to be included in the WSNA-KVH bargaining unit.

The Clinic nurses formally requested inclusion in the bargaining unit during negotiations. KVH leadership disputed the request and asserted that the Clinic nurses do not share a sufficient "community of interest" with employees currently represented in the bargaining unit. As a result, the employer requested that the matter be referred to PERC for investigation and a formal hearing.

PERC will review the facts and determine whether the Clinic nurses meet the legal criteria for inclusion in the bargaining unit. Nurses who are interested in learning more about the process and supporting their colleagues are welcome to attend the virtual hearing as observers. If you would like to attend, the PERC hearing is open to the public and will be virtual on ZOOM.  It involves witness testimony, cross-examination, and physical or digital exhibits. The link for the virtual hearing is listed below.
