First Day of Bargaining!

We completed our first day of contract bargaining on Monday Feb 10, 2025. We presented our proposal to management first. It was received well, posing thoughtful questions and feedback and they remained engaged, receptive, and genuinely listened to what we presented.

Our proposal provided a few key points for our nurses:

  • An increased wage package, including:
                    -Increased general wages
                    -Increased shift differentials
                    -Improved retirement benefits
                    -Additional steps for senior nurses
  • Offering pay in lieu of benefits for regular full-time nurses, previously only offered to part time nurses
  • Proposed increased premiums for nurses who sign up for open shifts in the schedule
  • Proposed increased coverage for medical and dental insurance
  • Changes to address recruitment and retention to address the overuse of travelers
  • A decrease in the number of mandatory Low Census hours

In the end we had tentative agreements on smaller house keeping items, and we will continue to fight for a contract you can be proud of!

Our next day at the table will be March 3, 2025.
