To someone extraordinary.

Let’s say it plainly: you are extraordinary.

Not in the vague, laminated-plaque-in-the-breakroom kind of way. In the actual showing up, shift after shift, in conditions that would break most people kind of way.

So, before anything else: thank you. Happy Nurses Month.

Coming to a unit near you
Your WSNA union officers are excited to celebrate our nurses. We will be scheduling coffee drop-in’s and possibly tacos for next week, Wednesday (5/20) and Thursday (5/21). We will be there from 1100-1400 and 1800-2000. Both days. We will be bringing additional items to the units when they arrive.

“Celebrating you also means being honest about what you’re up against.”

Safe staffing

When you’re caring for more patients than is safe, it’s not a personal failing — it’s a systemic problem. You shouldn’t have to choose between skipping a break and giving someone the attention they need. Your WSNA bargaining unit is fighting for it.

Please see our temporary tattoos and stickers! No more skeleton crews!

The union is you

The union isn’t some outside organization — it’s your coworkers. The people in the break room with you, at the bargaining table for you. When we fight for safe staffing, we fight together.

One ask this week

Celebrate. Rest if you can.

And when you're ready

Get Involved

With gratitude and solidarity,

Your WSNA Union Officers
