Bargaining update

Your team of WSNA NW registered nurses met with hospital management on both Tuesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 17 .

These were our 6th and 7th scheduled sessions. We exchanged proposals with the employer and were able to reach some tentative agreements on a few of the many opening proposals presented by the employer. Part of the reason there are more proposals than we typically see is that this is the first full collective bargaining agreement we are negotiating since Northwest’s integration into the UWMC. Some outstanding proposals that could have significant impact for RNs include mandatory floating between campuses, changes in shift rotation language changes, RN wages and more.

We are working to finalize some additional counters to the employer as we continue to work towards a tentative agreement on the entire contract. Our team is working hard to hold the employer accountable to safe staffing and wages you deserve.

We have set a hold on June 25 as a potential date for our next bargaining session. We are uncertain at this time, as to whether we will be far enough along to finalize an agreement on that day.
