PACU Call Shift MOU

After a long hard battle, WSNA and UWMC NW have reached an agreement for the PACU nurses. The nurses in the PACU can take call before a regularly scheduled shift and directly after a regularly scheduled shift. The nurses who are working into a call shift will receive the 3-hour minimum and the $7/hr. call premium. This change has already gone into effect so please let me know if you have any difficulties scheduling these shifts.  To see the full document, click on the link below:

Pattern Schedules

We have had our Step 1 meeting, for this issue. Currently, leadership at the UWMC NW has offered to put out a survey to all nurses to see what schedule type would work best and the best way to implement this change moving forward. We ask that you please help us by filling out the survey in hopes that the nurses, WSNA and UWMC NW can work together to find the best possible outcome for all involved.

Coffee Drop-in

We will be doing our next main campus coffee drop-in Tuesday, August 15 from 1400-1800, stop by and get the drink of your choice. Your WSNA nurse representative, organizer, and local unit chair will be there to answer questions.

Staffing Committee

We need nurses willing to represent their units at the monthly staffing committees. We have been seeing a great turnout from the nurses and management knows we are watching and listening. If you have someone you think would be a great leader for your unit, please send their name to Zach Seikel at zseikel@wsna.org. If you are interested in joining us for our next staffing committee meeting or have filed an ADO, please join us on August 7 at 0800, by using the link below:
