Reminder - Nominations for local unit officers close on April 30!

Greetings WSNA nurses of Ocean Beach Hospital. Your new contract is now online on the WSNA website located on your local unit page.

After the officers worked diligently to ensure they negotiated the very best contract, some of them have chosen to step down. We thank them for their service and dedication to their colleagues and advocating for our practice and profession in their leadership positions.

This now opens the opportunity for new elections for the vacant positions. Anngalyn Brown remains chair, but there are openings for Vice Chair, Secretary/Treasurer, and Grievance officer. We have links to the nomination form, consent to serve and the descriptions of positions. All these documents can be found on the website where you can download them, fill them in and forward them to Mara at mkieval@wsna.org.

A hard-copy version of the nomination forms will be arriving in the mail soon. We will have nominations open for two weeks and request that if you choose to use the hard-copy form, you fill out the consent to serve and nomination form and return it to the office in the self-addressed stamped envelope provided no later than April 30, 2023. The time commitment of being an officer is very small. Training and guidance will be provided.

For any questions, please contact Mara Kieval mkieval@wsna.org or 206-575-7979 Ext 3051.

In solidarity,
Mara
