Nurses Week buffet and prizes!

Your WSNA officers welcome the Overlake RNs to join us on Wednesday May 13 for a delicious Mexican buffet from a Bellevue favorite, Amore Eterno!

Also included in what is truly Nurses Month are numerous gift card drawings during the event. Winners need not be present to win and will be contacted to receive their prize directly.

Feel free to come in before or after shift, during a break, eat together or take it to go. We would be delighted if nurses opt to enjoy this on a day off, as well 😊

Wednesday May 13 in the PACCAR building

11 am-1 pm in the Insight conference room

5:30-730 pm in the Vision conference room

LEVEL UP!

As always, we will have information and invite conversations about issues in your unit and across the local unit. Stay tuned for monthly union steward (formerly unit rep) training as we LEVEL UP together as Overlake RNs. There is plenty to do at present, such as the work to restore the staffing grids and the group grievance on behalf of all Overlake RNs for the break relief role are big ones! Come talk to us about the action occurring in several units right now and how you can help your unit participate for your shared benefit!  Looking ahead, we must ramp up for contract negotiations that occur early in 2027. Hope is not a strategy, but organized preparation is!

The Benefits Committee has begun to meet and WSNA members participate, along with other employees and Overlake leadership. Send your suggestions about current health benefits to your WSNA reps on the committee, Tammy Wan from SPA and Chris Birchem from OSS at Overlakebenefits@gmail.com

In solidarity,

Your local unit officers,
Chris Birchem, Chair. OSS
Heidi Scharnitzke, Secretary, Labor and Delivery
Crissy Sekine, Treasurer, IMI
Michael Golembo, Membership, IMI
Brandon Yokoyama, Membership, ED
