We are here to support you

We know that the tragic accident at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging plant has reverberated throughout the Longview community.

WSNA issued a statement yesterday, but we wanted to reach out directly to you, our members at St. John. We are here to support you and the Longview community at this incredibly difficult time. We are so proud of the work you are doing to care for – and some cases mourn – your neighbors, friends, family members, and others in your community who need you.

Our national union partner, AFT, has a trauma counseling benefit that is free to all active WSNA members – to provide help and healing for our members. To access this benefit, go to Trauma Counseling Programs and Services | American Federation of Teachers. If you have any questions about accessing this benefit, please contact your nurse representative.

We will be working with your Local Unit officers to support relief efforts as you and your community seek to recover from this awful tragedy. But please know that our thoughts, and our solidarity, are with you.

Sincerely,

Justin Gill, WSNA President
Gerard Friesz, WSNA Executive Director
