Bargaining Day 1 is complete!
Posted Oct 13, 2025

Our union completed our first day of contract negotiations with Pullman Regional Hospital! Pictured above are our bargaining team nurses; Amy Gifford (ER), Sarah Garibaldo (Birthplace), Sheila Burman (SDS), Katy Schmidt (ICU), and Jesse Holcomb (OR).
On Friday October 10 we met with members of management and passed many proposals covering items like wages, premiums, SANE nurse, representation rights, and we are reserving proposals for significant issues like staffing committee and workplace violence. Reserving proposals means our union wants to have discussions across the table about these issues before we submit final proposals for contract language. Pullman was not prepared to respond to our proposals on day 1 and we expect to receive some of theirs on our next bargaining day, Tuesday October 14, 2025.
Our team is eager to roll up their sleeves and achieve a solid contract for our nurses.
WSNA Blue Looks Good on YOU!
Our union has ordered blue WSNA shirts for every nurse in Pullman! We are actively distributing these so nurses can wear these on contract bargaining days to support their team. Text your rep Alle Machorro 206-707-2048 with your shirt size and connect so you can grab your shirt! Take a picture with nurses on your unit in their blue shirts for a chance to enter our raffle! Our next bargaining dates are October 14 and October 30.
Did you know?
Nurses need to be members in good standing to vote on the next contract. This means nurses need to have submitted an application and be paying union dues to cast a vote on the next proposed contract. Full union membership has many other benefits including running for local leadership, participating in committees, being sponsored to travel and attend conferences and so much more. Join today and become a member!
