Many nurses have reached out, wondering about upcoming pay questions.

WSNA RNs, we have answers for you!

Article 6.1 of the contract indicates nurses will receive a 4% across the board raise, effective the second full pay period following January 1, 2024. This means beginning January 28, the new rates will officially go into effect. Management has told us nurses will not see the increase when they log into Genesis on Jan. 28 but will be visible in Genesis after the pay period closes. The new rate will be paid out on the February 16 paychecks.

In terms of retention bonuses, nurses who were employed as of the date of ratification (January 18, 2023) and who remain employed as of the date of payment, will receive a bonus in the amount of two-thousand dollars ($2,000), prorated by FTE. (.9 FTE nurses will be treated as a 1.0 FTE and per diems treated as a .2 FTE).  If eligible for this bonus, nurses should expect to see this payment on their February 2 paycheck.

Never hesitate to reach out to should you have any questions on pay, or other issues in general. We are here to help SHMC RNs!
