We have received confirmation from the employer that Float Pool nurses will receive the retroactive premium pay awarded through arbitration. This payment will appear on the August 1, 2025, paycheck.

This outcome follows an arbitration decision in favor of WSNA-represented Float Pool nurses. Despite the clear ruling, the employer initially failed to issue the premium pay as required. As a result, WSNA filed two grievances to enforce the decision after nurses reported they had not received the monies owed.

Upon issuance of the August 1 payment, we will resolve the two grievances filed.

This result reflects the power of standing together and holding the employer accountable to our contract and the arbitration process. We especially want to recognize the strength and unity demonstrated by our Float Pool Nurses, the Float Pool Shop Stewards and the entire WSNA Bargaining Unit. This win was enforced through the dedication of our shop stewards, who kept members informed and engaged throughout the process.
