Extra Shift Incentive Program

Sacred Heart Nurses,

In response to the wildfire emergency and resulting staffing challenges, WSNA and Providence Sacred Heart have signed a temporary MOU creating an Extra Shift Incentive Program from August 6 through August 21, 2026 for designated shifts in participating units.PDF type

Eligible nurses who volunteer for approved extra shifts may receive:

  • $300 for 12-hour shifts
  • $250 for 10-hour shifts
  • $200 for 8-hour shifts

The incentive applies to both overtime and non-overtime extra shifts that are specifically designated by the hospital based on operational need. You can view or download the MOU here.

WSNA extends our sincere appreciation to the nurses who continue stepping up during this difficult time and to all those affected by the wildfire emergency. Please watch for communications from your unit leadership regarding incentive-eligible shifts.

Thank you,
