The vote is in and the MOU is posted

On April 27, 2023, the nurses of Sacred Heart voted unanimously to ratify the proposed MOU allowing nurses to change from days or evenings to a night shift. If the nurse voluntarily chooses to do so, they will receive a lump sum bonus for their commitment and work.

Congratulations nurses! We heard your voice on the issues you are experiencing with staffing. While this is not a perfect fix, it is another option to bring relief.

Your ask! Take advantage of the MOU if you can. If you feel this does not help provide the staffing that is needed, continue to fill out the Unsafe Staffing forms. All forms which are filled out by nurses, go to the Unsafe Staffing Committee and are analyzed on an individual basis by all committee members. It was through this forum the original discussion on the new MOU began, so keep them coming!
