Case Management Group MOU - Bargaining Update #1
Posted Mar 13, 2026
Yesterday, March 12, our newly organized WSNA Case Management Group met with the Hospital for our first bargaining session to bargain our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The tenor at the table was respectful and the day was productive. We were encouraged by the Employer’s responsiveness and the initial progress.
Transition of Leave & Benefits
We spent a significant amount of our time discussing the transition of Leave & Benefits. Subjects included:
- Transition of Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Personal and Holiday Leave
- Leave accrual rates, balances and caps
- Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits
- Long-term Disability
- Life Insurance and Pensions
- Employee Incentives (Your Bonus Your Way and Health Spending Accounts)
Our focus was to ensure that we maximize protective language around retaining or improving our current leaves and benefits, as well as fight off any takeaways.
Proposals
We exchanged proposals on:
- Benefits Transition Plan
- Reallocation of Staff, Reduction in Force (Layoff), and Recall
- Seniority
- Floating
- Low Census
