Wage Rate Increases - Status Update

WSNA has been looking into whether SCH complied with the timelines in the new CBA for increased wages and other compensation.  The answer is yes and no.

SCH tells us that it has paid all differential increases as of 2/2 and those were reflected in nurses’ 2/20 paychecks.  But it admits it did not implement the new wage rates effective 2/2 or pay the new wage rates in nurses’ 2/20 paychecks.  WSNA filed a grievance over this and reached out to SCH this week to request that SCH immediately make nurses whole.

Today, the employer confirmed that:

  • all differential increases went into effect on 2/2 and should have been reflected nurses’ 2/20 paychecks
  • all new pay rates are now in place (and have been since 2/16) and will be reflected in the next paycheck to be issued March 6
  • nurses will receive all applicable retro pay for the time period between 9/1/25 and 2/15/26 on March 6 without any gap or missing days/weeks.

SCH also agreed in writing that the ratification date was 1/31 and the effective date of the CBA was 2/2. From WSNA’s point of view, those dates mean that the new wage rates, and all other forms of compensation should have gone into effect on 2/2.  And we have worked to get SCH to make this right as quickly as possible.  If you do not receive all pay you are owed in your March 6 paychecks, or if there is other compensation that you are owed under the CBA that you did not see in your 2/20 paychecks, please let your Nurse Representative know right away.
