Juneteenth, a holiday MOU, and midterm negotiation update

WSNA advocated and negotiated for you to add two holidays, Juneteenth and Indigenous Peoples Day. Negotiations were long and involved advocating for the wage increase of 1.25% and recognition bonus that the Coalition of Unions got. After six months of bargaining we had to decline the total package because the county demanded too many takeaways to provide the wage increase. We will address these items in full negotiations at the end of the year.

WSNA negotiated with the County to add Juneteenth and Indigenous Peoples Day without any other takeaways or changes to your holiday language at this time.

We will have more details about this coming to you later this week, along with updates on a number of other issues important to you all.
