Negotiations Update Session #3

On January 30, WSNA and Seattle King County met for the third day of negotiations. WSNA Attorney Mike Sanderson has assumed the lead negotiator role. Mike has a long history of negotiating WSNA contracts throughout the State with extensive experience negotiating for public health units.

The County and WSNA have had some general discussions about topics of interest and went through several prior MOUs. We came to our first three TAs, agreeing on minor issues. The bargaining team will discuss more substantive information with the County in our next bargaining session on February 14.

This a reminder that we have a WSNA lunch and learn call today, 2/1, at 12:05 on Teams. If you do not have a link and would like to attend, please email Nurse Representative Bret Percival, and he will get you the link.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact one of the local unit officers or reach out to WSNA Nurse Representative Bret Percival at bpercival@wsna.org or by phone at 206-471-0876.

In unity,
Nicole Klein, Co-Chair
Sean Dumas, Co-Chair
Louise Peterson, Secretary/Treasurer
