We have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract

Hello WSNA Nurses,

Your negotiation team met on July 30 for our fourth day of negotiations and we are pleased to announce the we have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Wages of 3%, 2%, and 2% over the three year contract effective the first full pay period following July 1. This includes retroactive pay for this year;
  • Daily overtime after the 12th hour of work on your shift;
  • Increases in standby/on-call pay
  • Breaks, 15 minutes in the first 4 hours of your shift, 15 minutes in the last 4 hours of your shift, and a 10 minute break that can be combined with you unpaid meal break.

More details to follow. Your negotiating team recommends a YES vote. We will be holding the ratification vote on Thursday, August 13 from 1500-1700 and also from 1800-2000. The vote will occur in the courtyard behind the old cafeteria.
