Negotiations update day #2

Hello WSNA Nurses,

Your negotiation team met on July 16 for our second day of negotiations. We have reached many tentative agreements. However, we are disappointed the employer proposed wages of 3.6%, 0% and 1.5% in the first, second and third years. We are also not in agreement with the employer’s proposal to move to a Paid Time Off (PTO) program in lieu of your current vacation, holiday and sick pay package. We are meeting for our 3rd bargaining session on July 23. Please make sure to get your WSNA badge reels and “buddies” from the negotiating team. It is of vital importance that we show our unity to ensure we can bargain a fair contract.

In solidarity, Your negotiation team.
