Bargaining Update: Session 12 (February 24, 2026)
Posted Feb 24, 2026

This is it! We have ONE session left on the calendar!
Today, we continued to have collaboration at the table and have been making tentative agreements on a number of articles. The employer brought a counter proposal on wages that got us closer to a deal, but there’s still work to be done before we’ll be ready to reach a TA and send it to the bargaining unit with our “yes” vote recommendation. .
Today we put a lot of effort into working on solutions to make sure Home and Community nurses are given the respect they deserve on the job. We made great use of the subject matter experts in the room: the nurses from Home Hospice, Home health, and Hospice House units who joined us over the last couple of days. Thank you to everyone who came to bargaining as an observer and helped us brainstorm pathways to a deal that will work for us over the full life of the contract.

We will work hard tomorrow to get this contract to the finish line, but we’ll only reach a TA and send it to all of you for ratification if our team is proud to recommend voting “yes.” Keep an eye out for news from the team throughout the day and join us at the special edition of PHSW Bargaining Beat for a live update from the table as we enter the home stretch.
Tomorrow 2/25: Tune In to a Special Afternoon Edition of Southwest Bargaining Beat – LIVE from the bargaining table at 1 p.m.!
Join us tomorrow at 1 p.m. for a special edition of our weekly Bargaining Beat virtual meeting! We will be giving you the very latest updates LIVE from the bargaining table as we head into the last few hours of bargaining before expiration. You won’t want to miss this one! Send us your questions to bpercival@wsna.org, and we’ll make sure to address them during the meeting.
The Final Scheduled Session
JOIN US! We will be in HEC classrooms 3/4. Please RSVP — it helps us plan for how many observers we will have. (And if you have a last-minute opportunity to join us, please do.) RSVP to join us!
