Urgent negotiation update from session #10

We began negotiations yesterday morning hoping that we could come to a tentative agreement. As the clock ticked into the early morning hours, it became clear that while we were close, the Hospital’s last, best and final offer was not good enough for the team to recommend to the members. While the financial package was almost there, we felt that the total package didn’t fully recognize what we have endured the last two years.

What does this mean? ACTION! Management knows that we are strong and united! The sea of blue WSNA t-shirts looks great. Now it’s time to escalate. Tara Barnes (in her white Toyota Rav4 with the WSNA banner) will be distributing yard signs this afternoon between 1300-1900 (or while supplies last) in the Employee Parking Lot. You can already see WSNA yard signs throughout the community!

Our Unit Reps and Volunteer Activists are prepared and ready to launch further action – plan to participate in our upcoming activities. Want to help unite your coworkers? Contact Tara Barnes at tbarnes@wsna.org or (206) 713-2241. We need everyone to step up to support all St. Joe’s nurses. We return to the bargaining table on April 20. We welcome observers. Watch for the opportunity to sign up, coming soon.

In Solidarity and Unity,
