Call to Action at Virginia Mason Medical Center, VMFH – Support your peers!

WSNA Info Picket: Friday, 10/30, from 7-9 am and noon-2 pm!  Wear you WSNA clothing!

Location – VMMC on Seneca between 9th and Boren!

Your fellow VMFH VMMC nurses have been negotiating with Virginia Mason since mid-June asking the hospital, among other proposals, to commit to:

  • Providing nurses with ability to take all their legally required breaks without worrying about their patients' safety or violating the staffing plan
  • Staffing units according to the staffing plan the hospital developed with nurses, not to productivity metrics that come from corporate HQ
  • Asking the hospital to follow Washington's staffing law all day, on every unit, throughout every shift.

Does this sound familiar?

If you would like to read more about what nurses are fighting for, you can read the bargaining updates here:  https://www.wsna.org/union/virginia-mason-medical-center/past-updates

As many of you know, St. Joe’s nurses share the same concerns around staffing and other issues. You all will be bargaining your next contract in mid – 2027.  Successes at the table at VMMC have the potential to benefit St. Joe’s bargaining in 2027.

Whether you can attend the picket or not, please SIGN THIS COMMUNITY PETITION to stand with nurses at VMMC.
