Sign-On bonus overpayment

We’re aware that management incorrectly paid sign-on bonuses early to some nurses, or overpaid the bonuses, and then demanded that nurses sign a form agreeing to pay back some of the monies – without notifying the Union first. Especially given the history of overpayments and demands for repayments here, WSNA is actively investigating and getting information regarding how a pay-back would impact contributions to retirement and social security, as well as  potential implications for your 2024 and/or 2025 taxes.

We’ve demanded that the employer rescind the arbitrarily imposed 30-day repayment window. We will share updates as soon as we receive more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your nurse representative at JRichardson@WSNA.org.
