Night Shift Longevity Incentive Update
St. Joseph Medical Center failed to pay the contractual Night Shift Longevity Incentive that was due on December 26, 2025. In response, WSNA has filed a grievance for failure to comply with contract language.
Hospital leadership had indicated the incentive would be paid on the February 6 paycheck; however, members report it was not received. WSNA immediately notified hospital leadership. Their response is as follows:
“I worked with payroll to get these processed this Monday, 2/9, on a special check. Depending on the bank, it may be visible Monday night or, more likely, Tuesday.”
WSNA regrets the continued delay and the inconvenience this has caused affected nurses.
Members who would like to confirm whether they are eligible for the incentive may contact Nurse Representative Janet Stewart by email: JStewart@wsna.org or text 206-831-3923.

Concerned About the Care and Treatment of NW Detention Center Patients?
We want to hear from you if you have concerns about the care and treatment of patients from the NW Detention Center at SJMC. Are you noticing or experiencing issues related to federal agents interfering with patient care or hospital policies and procedures? Have you been asked to share patient information with agents, either in person or by phone, in ways that raise privacy concerns?
Your WSNA leaders have raised these issues with hospital leadership, but we need your firsthand input to fully understand what is happening and to advocate effectively on behalf of you and your patients.
Please submit an Assignment Despite Objection (ADO) Staffing Complaint Form and clearly describe your concerns in the narrative section. If your concerns involve interference with hospital policies, clinical protocols, or patient care, also submit an IRIS report so the issue can be formally reviewed by Risk Management.

Thank you for those who attended the Alex Pretti Vigil on 1/30 and stood together with the community to pay respect to an ICU Nurse from Minnesota who was shot and killed by Federal Agents.
WSNA released a statement, followed by statements from the ANA.
