Astria Update

WSNA continues our efforts to advocate for our nurses as we navigate the tragic loss of Yakima Regional Medical Center. Several nurses have brought forward concerns regarding the issues below. If you are aware of other issues not addressed here, please contact your Nurse Representative right away.

PTO
We wanted to assure everyone that WSNA has already filed a claim on behalf of all nurses covered under the bargaining units at Sunnyside, Toppenish, and Regional for your PTO hours. This was done several months ago to provide as much coverage to your PTO banks as possible.

Insurance
Astria has agreed to continue insurance coverage until the end of the month. We are aware that some nurses have had an issue with prescriptions being filled. Astria has reported to us that the issue has already been reported to their insurance carriers. If you have been denied prescription coverage please email your Nurse Representative as soon as possible.
